The teachers of the

Nursery and Kindergarten

The educational team at Benedetto XV International School for children aged 0–6 years is made up of highly qualified teachers who are deeply passionate about their work. Each staff member has a solid background in early childhood pedagogy and direct experience in education, combined with great sensitivity to the emotional and cognitive needs of the youngest children. In our Nursery and Kindergarten, the environment is designed to be a safe, welcoming, and stimulating place where every child can feel protected and free to express themselves. Activities are planned to support emotional, linguistic, motor, and relational development, based on play, direct experience, and interaction. English is an integral part of daily life, naturally incorporated into routines, songs, stories, and play moments.

All teachers are trained in first aid procedures and emergency management, and they work every day to create a calm, reassuring, and stimulating atmosphere where each child can grow with joy, confidence, and curiosity.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Childhood and Adolescent Sciences as well as a Master’s degree in Professional and Continuing Education from the University of Salerno. Throughout my academic journey, I’ve gained valuable pedagogical and psychological skills that have prepared me to excel in my role. What truly drives me is my unwavering passion for working in this dynamic and fulfilling environment.

My journey with children began in my teenage years when I enthusiastically took part in volunteer summer camps and activity centers. After completing my studies, I had the opportunity to work in various early childhood schools, engaging with children of different age groups. I am also certified in first aid, including pediatric choking relief procedures, and I have completed the BLSD (Basic Life Support and Defibrillation) course.

Working with children brings me immense joy and satisfaction. Witnessing their growth and development is a constant source of inspiration and personal enrichment.

I am thrilled to be part of Benedetto XV International School, where I am contributing to the comprehensive and holistic education of our young learners.

MARYNA

Ms Maryna

Hello, i’m Ms. Maryna, and it’s truly an honor to be part of the Benedetto XV International School community since 2018. With 12 years of experience in language education, I’ve spent the past six years working as a Reception class teacher. My academic background is in English language and literature, and my personal journey as a mother has continuously inspired my passion for working with young children.

Throughout my career, I’ve actively sought to develop my skills by attending various training courses, including CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), Yoga for Children, and English for Young Learners. My personal motto is “Never stop learning!”—because I believe that continuous growth and learning are essential to providing the best possible education for my students.

I feel incredibly fortunate to teach in such an exceptional and nurturing environment, where children are always the priority. The school’s emphasis on creating a loving and supportive atmosphere perfectly aligns with my own teaching philosophy. Outside the classroom, I enjoy sharing my love for water sports and outdoor activities with my family and friends.

INDRA

Ms Indra

Hello, i’m Ms. Indra, the lead teacher for the youngest group at Benedetto XV International School. From the very beginning, I’ve been a proud member of this remarkable project and its dedicated team. Although I’m originally from Australia, I’ve spent my entire life in Italy, attending both international and Italian schools throughout my education. This unique background has given me a deep appreciation and understanding of both cultures.

With over 16 years of teaching experience, I’ve worked in various educational settings, including language schools, middle schools, and high schools. Teaching has always been my true passion, and I specifically chose to work with young children. To strengthen my teaching practice, I’ve completed training in educational methods such as Montessori and Feuerstein, which help me create an engaging and effective learning environment for little learners.

My love for young children shines through my joyful and enthusiastic personality. I strive to build a special connection with each child in my class, fostering a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere. As a mother of two daughters in elementary and middle school, I also understand the experiences and challenges faced by both children and parents.

Outside the classroom, I have a deep love for animals and a strong passion for horseback riding and skiing. These interests, combined with my dedication to teaching, shape the educator I am today. My ultimate goal is not only to educate children through fun and play, but also to help them grow into kind, responsible individuals who will make a positive impact on the world of tomorrow.

I believe in creating a warm and inclusive classroom environment where children feel supported and encouraged to explore their interests and discover their unique talents. By using engaging and interactive teaching methods, I strive to make each lesson both fun and meaningful for my students.

Outside the classroom, I’m an enthusiastic traveler who loves exploring different cultures and seeking new adventures around the world. Through my travels, I gain a broader perspective and constantly look for opportunities to enrich my teaching practices with diverse cultural influences.

RAFFA

Ms Raffa

I was born and raised in Italy, where I spent the early years of my life until 2000. However, my journey eventually led me to the United Kingdom, specifically London, where I lived for a year before settling in Ireland. It was in Ireland that I had the opportunity to further pursue my education and personal growth.

In 2006, I enrolled at the acclaimed Portobello Institute in Dublin. There, I immersed myself in the field of early childhood education, with a specific focus on the Montessori method. After dedicated study and hands-on experience, I proudly earned my diploma as a certified Montessori teacher in 2008.

Living in both the UK and Ireland provided me with invaluable personal and professional experiences that have helped shape me into the teacher I am today. I’ve devoted my career to working with preschool-aged children, supporting their development and guiding them through their educational journey.

After several years as a kindergarten teacher in an international school in Rome, I made the exciting transition to Benedetto XV International School in 2017. Since then, I have been teaching first grade, nurturing young minds and helping them develop a love for learning.

In my free time, I find great joy in cooking. Exploring various culinary creations allows me to express my creativity and passion for the culinary arts. Cooking is my way to relax and find inspiration, which in turn positively influences my teaching approach.

Liz

Ms Liz

Hello, I’m Liz, and I have the privilege of being the Nursery teacher at Benedetto XV International School. I come from York, a sunny city in the north of England, and my love for travel has taken me to many faraway places. After completing my education, I decided to follow my passion for horses and enrolled in university studies in Equine Science and Therapy.

However, my travels and experiences across Europe led me to discover a deep connection with working with children. I had the opportunity to teach in various children’s camps during my journeys, and it was during this time that I realized my true calling—dedicating my career to nurturing young minds. I returned to the UK and completed my PTT (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) qualification, further expanding my skills and knowledge in early childhood education.

I gained invaluable experience working with disadvantaged children in London, where I collaborated with a wonderful children’s organization in Vauxhall. This experience strengthened my commitment to providing quality education and support to children from diverse backgrounds. I then continued my professional journey at a prestigious private school in Surrey, where I had the privilege of working alongside passionate educators and participating in continuous professional development opportunities.

Working with children—especially at such a tender age—brings me immense joy and purpose. I find great satisfaction in exploring books and reading together, as it opens a world of knowledge and imagination for young learners. I strongly believe in the power of play and child-led activities, which foster enthusiasm and allow children to build their skills and confidence naturally and joyfully.

At Benedetto XV International School, I am committed to creating an engaging and welcoming environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive. There is no greater reward for me than witnessing their development and supporting their individual needs and unique personalities.

I am truly grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Benedetto XV community and to contribute to the educational journey of our young students. Together, we embark on a wonderful adventure of discovery, exploration, and growth.

NOEMI

Ms Noemi

Hi, I’m Noemi, a nursery school teacher dedicated to the early childhood section of the Benedetto XV international school, with 15 years of experience in the sector. I graduated and have participated, obtaining several certificates, in numerous training courses for nursery school teachers. In my work, I focus on creating a welcoming and stimulating educational environment for children. I plan educational activities that promote the cognitive, emotional and social development of children. I am convinced that the education of preschool children should be based on curiosity, creativity and discovery.

Therefore, I create an environment that encourages children to explore, experiment and learn through play. I believe that the relationship created with each child is an exchange of experiences from which I never stop learning. It is a job full of challenges but emotionally rewarding. I consider myself very lucky to be able to do this job. I have first aid and pediatric disobstruction maneuvers certifications.
