Kindergarten Teachers

Ms. GRACE

I’m Ms. Grace, a reception year teacher, and I’m proud to be part of the team at Benedetto XV International School. I have been a teacher for 18 years and over the last 8 years I’ve focused on young learners. I have a genuine love for teaching and a passion for early-years learning– especially enriching young minds through play and mindful experiences. I studied Psychology and I have a background in ESL teaching, I am CELTA and TEFL qualified and a Cambridge ESOL examiner. I have attended teacher training courses in Mindfulness, children’s yoga and interpreting children’s drawings, all of which have helped me to be a better reception year teacher. My passion for reading, travelling, dancing, music and baking, along with being a mother of 2 active boys, makes me who I am and have contributed to my success as a teacher. I strive to make a difference by teaching tomorrow’s decision makers and I like to think that I don’t just teach children but I care about them too. My goal is to motivate little people to learn in a healthy environment.

Ms. MARYNA

My name is Ms. Maryna and I am honoured to have been a part of Benedetto XV International School since 2018. I’ve been in the language teaching field for 12 years and have worked as a Reception Class teacher for the past 6 years. My educational background is in English Language and Literature and my personal experience as a mum has consistently led me to working with young children. I’ve attended multiple training courses (CELTA , yoga for children, English for young learners) and my moto is “Never stop learning!”. I feel fortunate to be teaching in an amazing and loving environment where children come first. I share my love for water sports and all outdoor activities in general with my family and friends.

Ms. INDRA

Hi! I’m Ms. Indra, the preschool year teacher here at Benedetto XV International School. I have been part of this project and this team since the school opened. I am Australian but have lived in Italy all my life and attended both international schools and Italian schools for my own education. I am CELTA qualified and have an ESL teaching background. I have been working as a teacher for over 16 years in language schools, middle schools and high schools. I love teaching and have chosen to work with young children above all. Training courses in areas such as Montessori and Feuerstein methods have helped me become a better teacher for Kindergarten years. My love for young children together with my joyful and enthusiastic personality make it natural for me to create a special bond with each and every child in my class. I am mother of two young girls who attend primary and middle school. This, combined with my genuine love for animals and an insane passion for horse riding and skiing, make me the teacher I am. My aim is not only to teach children through fun and play but to help them become better adults for the world of tomorrow.

Ms. MARTINA

Hello I am Ms Martina and I am delighted to join the Benedetto International School. I am a pedagogist and an educator specialised in the Montessori method. I have been working in the educational field for about 15 years both in Italy and abroad and my goal is to share knowledge and good practices to empower parents and professionals. Spread a better understanding of how children grow, learn and thrive is one of the aspects that I love the most about my job.

Knowing how the brain of young children works and the impact that the emotional intelligence has on people’s wellbeing makes you change the way you look at and think about childhood. In my career I have attended courses  on leadership and public speaking which help me a lot during my work with people of different ages. I love travelling, reading and thinking outside the box as I look at improving myself by learning from everyone, one day at the time.

Ms. TINA

I am Ms. Tina and am from London in England. I am a certified language educator and have taught in both elementary and secondary schools here in Italy. I have been teaching Kindergarten now for 10 years in the Castelli Romani and am the mother of twins who are currently in secondary school. In my free time, I like to travel all around the world.

MS. RAFFA

I was born and raised in Italy where I lived until 2000. I then moved to the UK and settled in London for a year after which I moved to Ireland.
In 2006 I attended the Portobello Institute of Dublin, working in their kindergarten where I graduated as a Montessori teacher in 2008. Living in the UK and Ireland has provided me with opportunities to grow and develop, both in my personal and professional life. I have been teaching kindergarten children since 2006. After many years as a nursery teacher in an International school in Rome, I moved to Benedetto XV International school in 2017 and have worked as a Year 1 teacher ever since. 
In my spare time I love to cook.

Ms. LIZ

Hi my name is Liz and I am the Teacher of 3rd Materna in the kindergarten here at Benedetto . I am originally from York in the uk which is in the sunny North of England, although I haven’t lived there for many years as I enjoyed traveling a lot. After leaving school I decided to follow my love for horses and study equine sciences and Therapy, from university I decided I wanted to travel and enjoyed working in different places around Europe where I taught in many children camps. Its then when I decided I really wanted to take up a career with children and came back to the uk and did my ptt and further studies. I gained some great experience working with underprivileged children in London working along side a great childrens charity in Vauxhall and then a prestigious private school in surrey, where I continued to learn and grow though courses and professional development.I absolutely love working with children especially this age where we can explore books and reading together, I love to see children develop their knowledge and skills, through play and child led activities which motivates their enthusiasm to learn whilst their confidence grows.
